7/14 Offshore Report

Today the meat fishing was slow, but the marlin action was heating up.

I had a crew of mostly kids today, and a massive school of dolphin would have been just perfect, but I’m not so sure we didn’t catch the last one on Saturday because they were non-existant today. We did loose a wahoo first thing this morning, and had a brief white marlin encounter, but that was it for a long time. There were a few boats that headed to the south and offshore, to find some pretty good marlin action, but I needed something to give these kids a boost, especially since some were’nt feeling that great. We tried a couple spots till we found one that had some amberjacks to give up, and we were able to perk up most of our crew, and everybody got to catch one. After that, we did successfully land a wahoo…yea!
