Still Slick…Still Slow

The weather is still holding out, but we are having to work to get a catch of fish.

One thing about pretty weather, you can have an enjoyable day regardless of the fishing. My group today was more interested in meat fish than bills, so I kinda made up my mind to pound out the shallows in search of some wahoo bites. Well, the bites were few, we caught one and lost another all day. We did find a school of bailer dolphin, but only managed to claim two of them for ourselves. The guys were getting itchy, so we decided to bang the bottom a little, and we had pretty good action catching a variety of fish in 30 fathoms. Mostly sea bass with a few triggers, a few vermillion snappers, one american red snapper, and one strawberry grouper. Good eating!
