Back To Sea

After a few days off, it was great to get some blue water under me, especially on a calm, beautiful day.

The boats that fished yesterday had excellent dolphin fishing, so we were ready for some great fishing today, but the dolphins were scarce where I fished. I worked up to the east, caught one gaffer, and saw a few others, but for the ammount of grass patches, birds, and life out there, there were surprisingly few bites. A couple boats found some bailers to the south, late in the day, and just a couple of bills seen. We spent the last hour and a half hittin’ the bottom. It worked out pretty well. We caught thirty nice sea bass and a few b-liners and silver snappers.
