After a week off, I couldn’t wait to get back offshore.
The report from the last few days was one of great dolphin fishing, so I was excited and positive as we headed offshore. Things started off slow for most everyone, but by the afternoon, some of the boats to the south had found some fairly good dolphin fishing. We found some beautiful conditions, patches of grass, birds, bait, but there didn’t seem to be much else with it. I even found a place of 500 birds circling, but we never had a bite around them. We managed to catch close to twenty bailers, and maybe missed one wahoo bite. There was a scattered wahoo caught and one sail.
