Way Out There

We headed way offshore and to the south this morning, but it wasn’t a very productive move.

I think I fished further south than I ever have out of Hatteras inlet today, but the results weren’t as I had hoped. We found a beautiful area of birds and flying fish, but the bites were very few. We wound up catching two dolphin and missed one other bite out there. The winds were higher than we expected, so the seas weren’t as pleasant as we had hoped either. I trolled back inshore and let my group pull on some amberjacks, which is always a fun time. In spite of slow fishing, my group seemed to enjoy themselves, and I hope to see them back for a day of redemption!
