Things were still slow offshore today, but the weather was pretty nice.
We had another wonderful group again today. Of course, everybody wants to catch a lot, but these guys enjoyed being offshore and with each other. Fishing was slow, but we had a great time just the same. I headed pretty far to the south again today, in hopes of finding the warmer water had pushed in a little closer. It is moving in the right direction, but it’s taking it’s sweet time. Anyway, I think things are looking better and we should be getting in to some good fishing soon. Today we caught three dolphin out in the deep, dropped to the bottom a few times and came up with a couple of tiles and a rosefish, and one amberjack. We heard reports of some mako shark sightings, so we spent some time this afternoon trying for one. We got lucky and caught a small one, but he was a little too short to be legal. I think one of the guys got a good shot of the shark so it’ll be posted when I get it. Thanks, Steve, for a great day on the water.
