We went tuna fishing again today, and scrapped out a nice catch of fish for our fishing school crowd.
This group fished on Tuesday, and caught all the dolphin they wanted. Bearing this in mind, we headed back to the area we fished yesterday to try for more tuna. Between the yellowfins, blackfins and bonitas, we stayed fairly busy. We landed three yellowfins, two forty pounders and a fifty pounder, ten or twelve small blackfins, and a handful of skipjacks. Towards the end of the day we caught a gaffer dolphin, just for spite. The dolphin fleet caught some fish waaaay to the south and offshore. Some boats did pretty well while others found the fishing to be scrappy. There were a couple blue marlin caught in the fleet as well.
