Today was a special day for Joe and Susan. They got married on the Godspeed, then we headed offshore for a day of fishing!
We had a nice ceremony at sunrise, in the channel down near the inlet. Their pastor was along to preside over the wedding, and I must say he did an excellent job. After rings and kisses were exchanged, we headed on off for a day of Hatteras offshore fishing. We caught pretty close to our limit of dolphin, most of them in the morning, some in the afternoon. Joe’s son Wade caught a nice 30 pound dolphin, just to out do everyone else. We raised three sails today, one of them ate a shortrigger bait, and we simply missed him. We also had quite a few wahoo bites, which complicated our sailfishing technique. We did manage to land one of them, a 20 pounder. It’s good to see the quality bites around’ Thanks guys for sharing your special day with us!
