Today was a continuation of the beautiful weather we have had this month!
We started out on some dolphin this morning, all mixed up from small bailers to a couple of small gaffers. The wahoo bite was slow most of the day, but the current was slack so I decided to try and compensate the slow wahoo fishing with some grouper fishing. It worked! In three drops we landed six snowys and a yellow edge grouper. They were 12-20 pounders. We did have a sailfish make a pass at one of our dangling baits while we were drifting. In the afternoon a couple of the boats to the far south started having some wahoo action, so that tells me there is another flurry on the way. We missed one wahoo bite at the end of the day, and did manage to get on some more dolphin late as well. My guys had a great time today, and so did I!
