Finally, after what seems like forever, we made it back offshore. Fall is here, as we enjoyed a cool northwest breeze all day, and some pretty good wahoo and yellowfin fishing.
This morning I was dealing with a poor wahoo batting average, and waiting for things to turn around. We missed or pulled off our first ten wahoo bites…ugh! We did catch three wahoos in the afternoon. We had an occasional yellowfin bite throughout the day, and wound up with seven. Dolphin were scattered today, a couple boats found some bailers, but most of us only caught a couple. The bottom line was that by quittin’ time, we had a nice catch and everybody had fun!
