Fishing offshore today was pretty good out of Hatteras!
The report I got from yesterday was one of slow fishing, so I braced my group for what could possibly be a long day. We hooked a gaffer on the second line in the water, and it was fairly steady from then on. We never found a "mega school" of dolphin, but we caught one or two about everywhere we went. We did have a half dozen or more nice gaffers, and the rest bailers. We pulled off one wahoo near the boat and missed a second one. We also captured one king mackerel and an amberjack. There was pretty good marlin action further offshore, mostly whites and sails. Thanks Tom for a fun day offshore!
