The Hatteras offshore fishing report for today was still loaded with dolphin. The billfish bite was more productive today too.
I overshot the dolphin this morning, so it took me a little bit of adjusting to get back in position. Truth is, there were dolphin just about everywhere because once we finished off our limit, we couldn’t get away from them! We spent a few hours skipping baits for a billfish and had two sailfish encounters. The first one rose to a teaser, fell back to a shortrigger. Everything went perfect except he didn’t get hooked. Bummer. The next one rose to the left short as well. We got several jumps out of him before throwing the hook. Bummer. Anyway, there was one blue marlin and a dozen or so whites caught today, so I am anxious for tomorrow to get here! Thanks for setting up the trip Patty, see you soon!
