Today wasn’t for the faint at heart, thanks to north-northeast winds at 25 knots, but we made our day and scrapped out a nice catch of fish!
I had three generations of "Gs" on the boat today, for their first bluewater adventure. An adventure it was. We were pleasantly surprised at the sea conditions first thing, but as the winds picked up, so did the waves. I don’t think my party was worried a bit, in fact, they were fine with it. We found several schools of dolphin which were difficult to catch due to the inability to freely walk around the cockpit, but we still managed to put together a nice catch, including thirty bailers, a few gaffers, one king mackerel, and one wahoo. There was a good showing of sails today as well.
