7/16 Hatteras Offshore Fishing Report

My buddy Tim and his crew showed up for their 2011 Godspeed adventure! Fishing was a little tougher today, but we still managed to put together a nice catch of good size dolphin.

We scrapped out about half a limit of dolphin, big bailers and three gaffers, including a 30 pounder. The southeast winds had the grass streaked out everywhere, and miserable to fish. It was a constant job for Justin and I both, as we "shagged grass" off our baits all day. There was some decent billfish action a bit further offshore and to the east of where we were. Thanks Tim, and I’ll see you next summer!
