Blue Million

The dolphin fishing was as good today as I have seen it all year.

It’s all about location, but once you got in the right spot, you simply couldn’t mess it up. There were miles and miles of bailers, and everybody got what they wanted. We skipped baits for most of the day, and did have a brief encounter with a 300 pound blue marlin. He rose to a long rigger, made a couple lunges after it, but never connected with the bait. After that, he followed us around for 3/4 of a circle before fading off. The billfishing overall was slow today, but the reports from down south were good, and I expect a hot bite in a couple of days. Thanks again Steve, and I hope to be able to find that sailfish for Corey next time!
