There have been a few boats out the last couple days and it sounds like fishing has been GREAT!
I’m hearing about killer catches of wahoo, just like it should be in September. Good dolphin fishing, along with yellowfin and blackfin tuna complete the mixed bag of species that are plenty right now. I am still waiting for people to get here, but it sounds like when they do, it’ll be worth the trouble! Ferry reservations may be hard to get on the weekend, but I’m told that there is availability during the week. Also I’m getting reports of great progress on the rebuilding of highway 12 north of Rodanthe, so hopefully access to Hatteras Island will be completely restored soon! Come see us!
