Live Bait Action

We caught some live bait this morning and headed out for some light tackle action!

Everybody that knows me knows how much I love fall fishing. Part of the reason for that is kings. There is nothing we do quite like live bait kingfishing. We caught some bait this morning and headed on out. Once the kings started biting, it was as fast as you could go till we ran out of bait. Fortunately they were biting dead ballyhoos as well, so we were able to catch the five that we needed for a limit, after we ran out of live bait. I had some old friends on board today, who used to fish with my dad, so they invited him along as well. It was fun to see my dad bend a pole on a big king mackerel! The biggest fish earned a citation at 36 pounds, good job Brandon. At one point a small school of bailer dolphin hopped in, but we weren’t rigged up too good for them, but we did catch three! The boats that fished offshore further had excellent wahoo fishing, some had limits. Thanks again Doug and Judy for a great day of fishing!
