We decided at the last minute to build a set of spray rails for the skiff.
I didn’t put them on the skiff I built last winter, but she’s pretty wet so we figured it wouldn’t hurt to try a set on this one. They should give the skiff some lift and deflect some of the spray. We built them out of juniper and glassed them. Yesterday we screwed and glued them to the skiff. This morning I removed the screws and filled the holes. Later today I will sharpen up the bottom edge with thickened epoxy so they will deflect water properly.
