Vertical Blackfins

I headed up to the east again this morning, but quickly gave my group the choice of rolling the dice and heading up another 15 miles and trying for a bluefin, or heading back down the beach and out of some of the current.

We decided to go south from where we were because the conditions simply didn’t look so promising for a yellowfin. Either choice would have turned out to be the right one, as the guys that went further up the line all caught at least one bluefin, and we had great action with the blackfins where we went. Once we set up and started our drift, the action was pretty non-stop. By the time we headed in, everybody had caught several tunas and was pretty worn out. It was great fun on the jigging tackle. Thanks again Bill and I hope to see you this summer too!
