5/22 Hatteras Offshore Fishing Report

Today wound up being one of the nicest of the spring. Hard to believe that we were worried about a tropical storm, just a day or two ago!

Dolphin fishing was still pretty good, although it was back to having to work for them, more so than yesterday. We caught a dozen this morning before deciding to explore the deep. I was very hopeful that we would have a marlin encounter, but we never got a shot. There were several blue marlin seen, but no hook-ups. We wound up back on the first color change in the afternoon where we managed to catch a dozen more nice dolphin. Thanks Ray and Billy for bringing the gang out today! See you this fall for some yellowfin!
