The weather conditions diminished as the day progressed, but the marlin action was pretty hot for a lot of boats.
Unfortunately, we never had a marlin encounter today, but it wasn’t because we didn’t try. We skipped baits for most of the morning as the southeast swells built. Every so often a boat would report a blue marlin hook-up, but we never got our turn, and that’s just the way marlin fishing can be sometimes. The dolphin fishing was scrappy, but we did manage to catch seven gaffers. Everybody quit a little early today due to the building seas and rough bar. Thanks again Aubrey, and I can’t wait to fish with you guys on a pretty day!
