We had another beautiful day offshore, after the rain passed!
When we pulled away from the dock, it was raining like crazy, but soon after setting our lines out, the sky had started clearing and the day just got better. The dolphin fishing was a little slower than it has been, although we did manage to scrap out a catch of fish by the end of the day. I made the decision mid morning, to try my chances in the deep. We had some pretty good action, including a missed blue marlin strike on a long rigger, and catching one out of a doubleheader of white marlin that we hooked. It was agreed that Benjamin would catch this year’s billfish (these guys get one every year), since he was soon to be married, so his brother graciously gave up the rod! Good job Benjamin! Anyway, it didn’t work out for me to get any action photos today, but we had a lot of fun. Thanks again Louis!
