Today I wound up too far south and too far offshore, but I got straightened out by late morning and wound up having a super day of fishing!
Today was the best day of billfishing so far this year. We overshot the best of it, but once we got dialed in to a good area, we were able to put together a great catch of big bailers and gaffers plus we had some marlin action too. We caught one out of a flurry of sailfish, and minutes later had an unsuccessful blue marlin encounter. Further inshore was a pretty hot white marlin bite, with some blues and sails mixed in as well. Thanks Mike for another great trip!
