I had a request this morning for a marlin, so I rolled the dice and headed way south, and to the deep.
While we were skipping baits, we saw lots of life, but the bites were few. We found a beautiful grass line, and thought we would surely catch a few dolphin, but we only caught one out of two dolphin all day. The best of the billfish action turned out to be closer to home, and I spent most of the day working back to the northeast. Most of the billfish action was sails, but I did hear about one white and one blue caught as well. We never raised a billfish, but luckily caught a wahoo near the end of the day. Still a beautiful day offshore and a fun group to spend the day with. Thanks John, we’ll get that marlin next time!
