7/22 Hatteras Offshore Fishing Report

After a couple days of raunchy weather, we managed to make it offshore today, and the weather was beautiful!

Fishing was still kinda scrappy, although most everybody wound up with a catch. A couple boats found some dolphin, but schools of bailers were scarce for most of us. We had some quality bites today, but luck wasn’t on our side for most of them. Our first bout of action was a sailfish that tried three different baits, but never switched off to the right one. We had five different wahoos hooked and pulling drag today, but only managed to land two of them. I am very thankful for the two! We also caught two out of three gaffers around a float. Thanks for moving the guys over a day Kevin, and I hope to see you this fall!
