My buddy Mark and his friends were scheduled to fish with me yesterday, but it worked out that I could move them to today and spend the afternoon with my dad. It worked out great for everyone because the weather was perfect today and the fishing was great!
We started off the day with a massive school of dolphin which we caught 40 out of. Since we were in the deep and close to one of my favorite bottom spots, I decided to take advantage of the minimal amount of current and make a drop to the bottom. That worked out too, as we came up with a 42 pound snowy grouper! Next we decided to try and even the odds with the wahoos, and had much better luck today. We caught five out of nine bites before wrapping things up and heading in a little early. It was great to enjoy the pretty day and the fishing was a bonus! Thanks Mark!
