It was slick calm offshore today, and I guess the biggest news is that the bluefins made a pretty good showing.
We were in search of a yellowfin or blackfin today. By 11:00 there hadn’t been a bite anywhere in the fleet. I suggested breaking out some light tackle and "dead baiting" some kings. Everybody was on board, and the action was plenty good. We caught our limit in no time. The kings were pretty nice size, up to 25 pounds. While we were knee deep in kings, the bluefins began to make a showing for the guys who stayed out in the deep. Ok…it’s time!
Thanks Kevin and Carey!
