The seas were calm today but the fishing was scrappy.
Most of the guys wahoo fished in the shallows and some of them wound up with two or three fish. We worked offshore in hopes of some morning marlin action but never raised a fish. I found a great spot out in the deep, and was expecting to find some dolphin, but that never happened either. I decided late in the morning to jog back inshore and spend the rest of the day looking for a wahoo. With about an hour to go and still no bites, Lucas shamed me in to doing some bottom fishing. I’m glad that he did because we wound up with a nice mess of triggerfish plus an unlucky dolphin that curiously swam around the boat! I wish we would have had more trolling action but we still had a fun day! Thanks guys!
