Ok, so, call it lady luck but last time Chandra fished with me, she caught a 500 pound bluefin tuna. Today she was first in the chair, but had no idea what she would be in for!
At 8:15 she was hooked up to a blue marlin. At some point during the fight the fish unfortunately got tail wrapped. What should have been a 30 minute battle wound up lasting for 3 1/2 hours. I’ve gotta admit, Chandra never gave up or suggested handing the rod off. She did an outstanding job. By the time we got the fish squared away and back to fishing, it was noon and I had a lot of catching up to do. I covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time, but finally found a "mega school" of dolphin and limited out in one stop. It was late in the afternoon, but I had one further mission to accomplish. I wanted to find a wahoo for Taylore, and in the bottom of the 9th (no pun intended) we got it done with a 30 pounder. It was a beautiful day offshore. Thanks guys!
