Meat fishing was slow today but we had an extra special treat when 14 year old Carter caught a 300 pound blue marlin!
On a beautiful Memorial Day weekend everybody is out fishing. I’m not a big fan of crowds so I trolled offshore and away from most of the traffic. We caught two gaffer dolphin in the morning and just before lunchtime Carter’s fish appeared on the right teaser. It was a hot bite and it took a lot of work to get the fish to switch from the teaser to the ballyhoo that Mikey was offering him. He went for the switch and put on a beautiful show as Carter angled him to the boat for the release. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures to post after the group looks at what they shot. Thanks Leslie!
